Check the address
Call with the complete street, unit and ZIP. Describe the affected rooms and ask the receiving contractor to confirm address acceptance and appointment availability.

Assess the accessible water
Review the finishes, contents and equipment route. The contractor explains the removal area and proposed tools, plus any access or handling that changes the intended work.

Agree the work and price
Identify the assessment charge and extraction scope before approval. Confirm who can authorize the job and how additions to the rooms or equipment time will be agreed.

Review the next recommendation
After bulk pickup, ask what remains wet. Any recommended further assessment, drying equipment or material access should be explained with its own work scope and charges.
Approve a clear proposal.
Confirm assessment charges, the included rooms and surfaces, contents handling and equipment time. Ask how a newly identified wet area would change the work and price before approving an addition.
Review the next step.
After visible water pickup, discuss any remaining wet materials. A further-access or drying recommendation should explain its scope and charges so the authorized contact can make the next decision.
